A Time To Roar

The following prayer was sent to my children and former players following the death of Charlie Kirk. As a husband, father and coach my responsibility lies in helping others recognize the power of prayer and to see that Jesus is the only way to combat the devil. Have I been as bold as I could be for the Lord. Sadly, no. Evil takes hold when God fearing men lay down like sheep and refuse to roar like lions.

My prayer is for the men of our country to rise up and lead the charge into this deeply spiritual battle as the lines have been drawn for some time now.

Father God,

I pray for our country.  I recognize that we are in your hands and are called to be your hands and feet while we walk on the earth.  Give those of us who believe in you and your son Jesus Christ the strength to combat the evil that has engulfed our country.

Help us to lead a revival that will purge our culture of the satanic forces that have manifested themselves in all aspects of our government and society. 

You have told us that there is nothing new under the sun and we have faced this evil before as a nation.  With your guidance we have overcome the tyranny of kings, rid ourselves of slavery and rebuked the satanic forces of communism.  

Today we face the snake of transhumanism and moral relativism which seeks to separate our citizens from You and thereby from each other.  A nation established upon your laws is only fit for a just and moral people. I pray that those who understand this will shout it from the rooftops and in the town square as our forefathers did before us.

Tyranny seeks to separate us from You.  I pray that you will bring us leaders who will shine the light on this darkness.  Bring us spirit filled men and women who understand that you are more than love but also are a jealous God whose righteous anger requires us to fight the satanic forces that would seek to remove Your spirit from our people.

You are the greatest counselor and through You we can find consolation. I pray that we will also find moral courage.  These are spiritual battles and we must all be committed to doing whatever You call us to do to win this war.

Father God, please give us the moral courage to stand up and call out this transhumanist agenda. Through this fight give us the peace that comes from knowing you and not the comforts that the enemy places before us as a substitute for your love.

Let us be forever reminded of what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. You have already given us the gift or salvation and may it embolden us to purge this evil from our communities and nation.  

May we stand with our forefathers who leaned on You and rekindle the same spirit that drew up on Your word for revival and "Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof" Leviticus 25:10.

I pray all this in the name of your son Jesus Christ.
